Chap. 40.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to incor-
porate the Virginia electrical railway and development company, approved
February 7, 1898, designated as chapter 212 of the acts of 1897.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
eight of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Virginia electrical rail-
way and development company, approved February seventh, eighteen
hundred and ninety-eight, designated as chapter two hundred and twelve
of the acts of assembly of eighteen hundred and ninety-seven and ninety-
eight, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows:
§ 8. The principal office of the company shall be in the city of Rich-
mond, but it may establish branch offices in other sections of the state,
or in the state of New York, or elsewhere in the United States, wherever
it may be convenient or necessary for the use of the company and the
conduct of its business.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
