Chap. 346.—An ACT to prohibit telegrabh companies operating in the state
of Virginia from contracting against their own negligence.

Approved February 14, 1900.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That no tele-
praph company doing business in the state of Virginia shall have the
right, by contract or otherwise, to limit, evade, or restrict in any manner
whatsoever its liability for negligence in sending, receiving, or deliver-
ing any message delivered to it in the regular course of business.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
