to remit the amount due said county by Herman Jackson, its late clerk.
: Approved February 13, 1900.

twenty years, never made out or attempted to collect his fee bills for

which cannot now be collected, are due his estate; and
Whereas after his death his estate was found to be indebted to the
county of Nottoway in the sum of four hundred and sixty-seven dollars.
nearly all of which crew out of transactions occurring the year before
his death and which he had no opportunity for settling; and
Whereas more than two hundred and fifty of the tax-payers of the
county have petitioned the board of supervisors to remit the debt, and
almost all of the citizens would sign such a petition if time permitted
it to be presented to them; therefore,

of supervisors of Nottoway county mav, in its discretion, remit the
amount due the county by Herman J ackson, its late clerk.
