Chap. 319.—An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Princess Anne
county to expend all or any part of the road tax or levy, arising from cer-
tain property within the limits of the seaboard magisterial district, in said
county, for improvements upon the roads, streets, alleys, and walkways at
Virginia Beach, in said county.

Whereas by a certain plat of the property of the Norfolk and Vir-
ginia Beach railroad and improvement company, duly of record in the
clerk’s office of the countv court of Princess Anne county, with a cer-
tain deed from the said Norfolk and Virginia Beach railroad and im-
provement company to Robert M. Hughes, dated the twenty-first day
of Julv, in the year eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and recorded
in deed book fifty-nine at page one hundred and fifteen, certain roads,
streets, alleys, and walkways have been laid out and dedicated to the
public, but have not been accepted in the manner prescribed by law
as public county roads; and
Whereas it is deemed desirable that the authority be granted to the
hoard of supervisors of said county to expend the county road tax or
Jevy arising or collected from the property described on said plat here-
inbefore mentioned for improvements of the roads, streets, allevs. aiu
walkways, as laid out on said plat; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Princess Anne county be, and they are hereby, author-
ized to expend all or any part of the road tax or levy arising or col-
lected from the property mentioned and described upon a certain plat of
the property of the Norfolk and Virginia Beach railroad and improve-
ment company, duly of record in the clerk’s office of the county court of
Princess Anne county, with a certain deed from the said Norfolk and
Virginia Beach railroad and improvement company to Robert M.
Hughes, dated the twenty-first day of July, in the year eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven, and recorded in deed book fifty-nine at page one hun-
dred and fifteen, for the improvement of the roads, streets, walkwavs.
and alleys as laid out on the plat aforesaid.
2. All acts or parts of acts, so far as they are in conflict with this
act, are hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
