Chap. 270.—An ACT to provide that a convict in the penitentiary of
ginia Whose term expires on Sunday shall be discharged by the sup
tendent on the preceding day.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That w
er the term of any convict in the penitentiary of Virginia shal
re on any Sunday in any month the superintendent of the peniten
all have the authority to discharge this convict on the Satu
amediately preceding said Sunday.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
