Chap. 261.—An ACT to compensate school trustees, other than clerks, in the
county of Carroll.
In effect February 38, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the district
school boards of Carroll county may, in their discretion, pay the trustees
of their respective districts, other than the clerks of district school
boards, not less than five nor more than ten dollars a year each for
services rendered in their districts, payable out of the district school
fund.
2. That the county school board of said county may, in its discretion,
compensate the trustees, other than clerks of district boards, at the rate
of one dollar per day for actual attendance on meetings of county school
boards, pavable out of the county school fund: provided, that no trustee
~hall receive more than two dollars in one year for services rendered on
county school boards.
3. Any other law in conflict with this act is hereby repealed so far as
it relates to said county.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall include the
present school year.
