Chap. 217.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act granting to M. C. Arm-
strong the right to establish a ferry from Blackbeard’s Point, on Hampton
creek, in the county of Elizabeth City, to the opposite side of Hampton
creek, approved February 26, 1898, so as to provide for a ferry from the
town of Hampton to Blackbeard’s Point, and other points on Hampton
creek and Herbert’s creek. .

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That M. C.
rmstrong be, and is hereby, authorized to establish and maintain a ferry
om the town of Hampton to Blackbeard’s point, touching at such places
1 Hampton river and Herbert’s creek as he may elect, including the
ational soldiers’ home and the Hampton institute: provided, the said
. C. Armstrong shall first obtain the consent of the authorities of the
id National soldiers’ home and Hampton institute, and the owners
' all lands at which the said ferry may touch, before the said M. C.
rmstrong shall avail himself of the privileges hereby granted as to
ich localities.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
