Chap. 173.—An ACT to authorize the school boards of Dinwiddie county to
compensate its school trustees.
In effect January 24, 1900.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the district
school boards of Dinwiddie county may, in their discretion, pay the
school trustees, other than clerks of their respective district boards, for
actual attendance on meetings of said boards the sum of two dollars per
day, payable out of the district school fund: provided, however, that the
maximum sum paid any one trustee, as aforesaid, shall not exceed ten
dollars ($10.00) in any one year.
2. That the county school board of said county may, in its discretion,
pay the school trustees, other than clerks of the county school boards,
two dollars per day for actual attendance on meetings of said county
boards, payable out of the county school fund: provided, however, that
the maximum sum paid any one trustee shall not exceed four dollars
($4.00) per year.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
