Chap. 147.—An ACT to allow Peyton Hundley to erect a pier in the Rappa-
hannock river, and to build a house thereon.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Peyton
Hundley be authorized to erect a pier in the Rappahannock river, off
the Essex county shore, on a piece of ovster planting ground that he
has leased from the state of Virginia, and to build on said pier a house
to be used as a guard-house, and for the purpose of handling his oysters
thereon preparatory to shipping or planting them: provided, that such
pier shall not obstruct navigation.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
