Chap. 1456.—An ACT for the relief of Sallie Forlines, widow of Hiram For-
lines, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas Hiram Forlines was taken sick from exposure and hardships
of war in the service of the Confederate states in the war between the
states, of which spell of sickness he died during the latter part of
April in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-five; and
Whereas Sallie Forlines, widow of the said Hiram Forlines, a resi-
dent of Mecklenburg county, in the state of Virginia, is old and de-
pendent, and is in destitute circumstances, owns no property, and
has no income; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be directed to list the said Sallie Forlines
on the pension list for a pension of fifteen dollars per annum: provided,
the facts herein alleged be established, before the county court of said
county of Mecklenburg.
2. This act shall be in force from April first, nineteen hundred.
