CHAP. 1431.—An ACT for the relief of Middleton W. Koger, a Confederate
soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Middleton W. Koger was a true and loyal Confederate soldier
of company G, forty-second Virginia regiment, volunteering at the
commencement and continuing in service during the entire war between
the states; and
Whereas he was wounded at Chancellorsville, bones in his feet being
shot out by a shell and a rib broken; and
Whereas he is now seventy-seven years old and a resident of Virginia,
ind has no property of any material value, and feels very much the
ffect of the said wound and exposure in the war; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
roof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Henry county,
ind the certificate of the same to the auditor of public accounts, the
aid auditor shall place the name of the said Middleton W. Koger upon
he pension roll of the state and pay him annually the sum of fifteen
lollars, on and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
