Chap. 1428.—An ACT for the relief of John G. Fielder, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas John G. Fielder, of company G, twenty-eighth Virginia
regiment, in the late war between the states, was permanently disabled
by injuries received in actual service; and
Whereas the said John G. Fielder is now so much disabled, by reason
of said injuries received in said service, that he is incapable of perform-
ing such manual labor as to be able to contribute to his support; there-
fore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to place the name of John G. Fielder on the pension rolls of Confede-
rate soldiers for the sum of fifteen dollars annually, payable out of any
monev not otherwise appropriated: provided, the above-named allega-
tions be proved before the county court of Bedford, and a certificate
of the same be sent to the auditor of public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force on and after the first day of April, nine-
teen hundred.
