Chap. 1425.—An ACT for the relief of Thomas O. Spradlin, a Confederate
soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Thomas O. Spradlin, of Bedford county, of company I,
fifty-eighth Virginia regiment, is now old and infirm in mind and
body by reason of service and exposure in the army of the Confederacy ;
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to place the name of Thomas O. Spradlin on the pension rolls of the
state of Virginia for the sum of fifteen dollars for the benefit of said
Confederate soldier, upon proof of the above-named allegations before
the county court of Bedford, and when certificate of same is sent to the
auditor of public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
