Chap. 1424.—An ACT for the relief of J. M. Taylor, a disabled Confederate
soldier, of Madison county.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas J. M. Tavlor, of Madison county, of Company F, seventh
Virginia, a disabled Confederate soldier, is suffering from hernia, and
was a true and gallant soldier during the war, and was loyal to Virginia,
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia. That the
county court of Madison shall examine into the condition of the above-
named J. M. Tavlor, a Confederate soldier; and should it be found that
he was true and Joval to Virginia through the war, and that he is now
affiicted and disabled, and ineapacitated for manual labor bv reason of
injury, disease, or old age; that he is needy and poor, and should re-
ceive aid from Virginia: and if the county court of Madison shall send
a certificate of fact to the auditor of public accounts in Virginia, then
the anditor of public accounts is directed to place the name of J. M.
Tavlor on the pension list, and pay him annually the sum of fifteen
dollars on and after the first dav of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be enforced from its passage.
