Chap. 1415.—An ACT for the relief of Henry B. Cheek, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas Henry B. Cheek, a Confederate soldier, was wounded in
actual service in the war between the states, and was thereby perma-
nently disabled from performing manual labor; and
Whereas by reason of said wounds the said Henry B. Cheek has since
become paralyzed so that he is incapable of performing any labor for
his support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to place the
name of Henry B. Cheek on the pension rolls of Confederate soldiers
for the sum of fifteen dollars annually, pavable out of any money not
otherwise appropriated: provided, the above-named allegations be
proved before the county court of Bedford, and a certificate of same
be sent to the auditor of public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force on and after the first day of April,
nineteen hundred.
