Chap. 1403.—An ACT for the relief of John M. Kendrick, of Henry county,
a needy Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas John M. Kendrick, of Henry county, was a loyal soldier of
company A, forty-second regiment of Virginia volunteers; and
Whereas the said John Kendrick is now in feeble health, is unable
to make his living by manual labor, is poor and without a home; there-
fore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Henry county,
and certificate of the same to the auditor of public accounts, said
auditor shall place the name of the said John Kendrick upon the pen-
sion roll and there shall be paid annually thereafter out of the treasury
upon the warrant of said auditor to the said John Kendrick, the sum
of fifteen dollars. |
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
