CHAP. 1395.—An ACT for the relief of W. D. Robertson, a Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas W. D. Robertson was a Confederate soldier, and a member
of company G, twenty-eighth Virginia infantry regiment, and as such
served through the late war; and
Whereas the said W. D. Robertson is now sixty-eight years of age,
and by reason of disease contracted while in the army is not able to
perform manual labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Montgomery county inquire into the condition of
said W. D. Robertson, and should it appear that the said W. D. Robert-
son did serve during the war as a soldier; that he was, and now is,
true and loyal to Virginia; and that he is poor and needy, and on
account of disease contracted while he was in the service he is now
unfit for manual Jabor, and should receive aid from the state; and if
the county court of Montgomery county shall certify these facts to the
auditor of public accounts, then the auditor of public accounts is
directed to place the name of said W. D. Robertson on the pension
list, and pay him the annual sum of fifteen dollars on and afte: the
first day of April, nineteen hundred.
