Chap. 1385.—An ACT for the relief of A. Knorr, a Confederate soldier of the
late war between the states.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas A. Knorr, a disabled Confederate soldier of the city of
Manchester, received a wound in the late war between the states which
deprives him of the entire use of one eve, which was shot out at the
hattle of Seven Pines; and
Whereas he suffers so intensely at times as to incapacitate him for
work of any kind; and
Whereas he is altogether without means, except what he earns by
his own labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
said A. Knorr shall produce to the auditor of public accounts a certi-
ficate of the corporation or hustings court of the city of Manchester,
to the truth of the facts set forth above, said auditor of public accounts
is hereby authorized and directed to place the name of A. Knorr upon
the pension rolls and pav him the sum of fifteen dollars per annum.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
