Chap. 1382.—An ACT for the relief of the widow of Thomas W. Ingram, a
deceased Confederate soldier, who was disabled and afflicted.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Thomas W. Ingram, a disabled and afflicted Confederate
soldier, received a pension of thirty dollars per annum under the pro-
visions of an act of the general assembly, approved ——-___—_— eigh-
teen hundred and ninety; and
Whereas the said Thomas W. Ingram departed this life in the month
of June, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and his widow, Mistress
——————— Ingram, 1s still unmarried and 1s poor and in needy Cir-
cumstances, and her said husband having been a true and loyal soldier
and for many years afilicted and unable to work; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
county court of Mathews county shall examine into the condition of
the said Mistress —-——————_ Ingram, widow of Thomas W. Ingram,
and if it shall appear that she is deserving of aid from the state of Vir-
ginia; and if the said court shall send a certificate of said facts to
the auditor of public accounts, thereupon the said auditor is hereby
directed to place the name of the said widow, as so certified, on the
pension list and pay her annually the sum of fifteen dollars on and
after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
