Chap. 1376.—An ACT for the relief of Thomas A. Duncan, a disabled Confed-
erate soldier.

Whereas Thomas A. Dunean was for the whole war a brave and
loyal Confederate soldier in the service of Virginia in the war between
the states, and by age and disease contracted in service is and has been
so disabled as to require treatment in a hospital for months at the time,
a has a large family dependent on him and totally destitute; there-
ore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That on proof
of the alleged facts before the county court of Charlotte the name
of Thomas A. Duncan shall be enrolled as entitled to receive a pension
of fifteen dollars a year from April first, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
