Chap. 1372.—An ACT for the relief of Samuel Frost, an old Confederate
soldier, of Lee county.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Samucl Frost, a citizen of Lee county, Virginia, and a native
of Virginia, was a true and loyal Confederate soldier, and while in the
Confederate military service received a wound in the leg between the
knee and ankle, producing a constant sore to the bone of said leg,
very much exposing the bone; and
Whereas the increase of said sore has rendered the said Samuel
Frost in his old age totally untit for manual labor; and
Whereas the said Samuel Frost has no material property or means
of support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the yveneral assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Lee county
the said Samuel Frost shall be allowed the sum of fifteen dollars per
annum, payable out of the treasury of Virginia, and upon the certificate
of said facts by said court to the auditor of public accounts, said auditor
shall place the name of Samuel Frost upon the pension roll and shall
issue his warrant annually in favor of said Samuel Frost for said
amount.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
