Chap. 1361.—An ACT for the relief of the widow of Winchester W. Minter,
a deceased Confederate soldier.

Whereas Winchester W. Minter, late of Mathews county, was a true
and gallant Confederate soldier, and loyal to Virginia, and has departed
this life leaving surviving him a widow who is poor and deserving of
aid from the state of Virginia; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
county court of Mathews county shall inquire into the condition of the
said widow and shall find the facts to be as hereinbefore alleged, and
that she is so deserving of aid from Virginia; and if the said court shall
send a certificate of said facts to the auditor of public accounts, there-
upon the said auditor is hereby directed to place the name of the said
widow, as so certified, on the pension list and to pay her annually the
sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the first day of April, nineteen hun-
dred.
2. This act shall be in force from: its passage.
