Chap. 1351.—An ACT for the relicf of Henry Gibbons, of Lee county, an old
Confederate soldier.

Whereas Tlenry Gibbons, of Lee county, Virginia, who enlisted in
the Confederate service at the beginning of the civil war between the
states in the second Tennessce cavalry and served part of his time
in Virginia, he served through the entire war; and
Whereas the said Gibbons was badly wounded in left arm, he was a
Virginian when he entered the service and has remained true and
faithful to the interest of his state ever since, he is now seventy-five
vears of age, and without anv means of support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when
said Henry Gibbons appears before the county court of Lee county,
state of Virginia, and makes affidavit to the foregoing facts that the
clerk of said court shall furnish to the auditor of public accounts with
a certificate thereof, his name shall be placed on the pension rolls of
Confederate soldiers at a rate of fifteen dollars per annum, to take
effect April first in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred.
