Chap. 1333.—An ACT for the relief of Jetson Jett, a disabled Confederate
soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Jetson Jett. a disahled Confederate soldier, who was captain
of company EK, of the sixiv-first regiment of Virginia volunteer infantry
luring the eivil war. and was loyal to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now sulfering from the following disabilities—to wit:
Jisabilities and injuries from wounds received while serving in the
ivil war: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
ounty court of Ehzabeth City county shall examine into the eondi-
tion of the above-named Jetson Jett, a Confederate soldier, and should
it be that he was true and loval to Virginia through the war, and that
he is now afflicted and incapacitated for manual labor from wounds
received whilst in service in the war, that he is needy and poor and
should receive aid from Virginia, and if the county court of Elizabeth
City county should send a certificate of the facts to the auditor of
public accounts of Virginia, then the auditor of public accounts 1s
ordered to place the name of Jetson Jett on the pension list, and pay
him annually the sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the first day of
April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
