Chap. 1314.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. Martha Ann Aliff.

Whereas George H. Aliff, of the county of Bedford, was a soldier in
ie late civil war, a member of company G, twenty-eighth Virginia
fantry, Hunton’s brigade and Pickett’s division, and while in service
as wounded at Gettysburg; and
Whereas in pursuance of the statute pensioning the wounded soldiers
‘the Confederacy, or the widows of such as were killed in battle; and
Whereas the said George H. Aliff is now dead, leaving a widow in
enniless circumstances; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
iditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to place
istress Martha Ann Aliff, now residing in Roanoke city, Virginia,
pon the pension list to receive a pension of fifteen dollars a year,
on proof of the above allegations before the county court of Bedford.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
