Chap. 1303.—An ACT for the relief of David Taylor, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas David Taylor, a Confederate soldier of Grayson county,
is a true and loyal soldier in Virginia in the military service of the
Confederate states, and was severely wounded in his left arm in the
battle of New Market, and is also suffering from disease, and sixty-
three years of age, very poor, and needy; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof before the county court of Grayson county of the foregoing
facts, and a certificate of the same by said court to the auditor of public
accounts, the auditor shall place the name of the said David Tavlor
upon the pension roll, and there shall then be paid to the said David
Taylor annually the sum of fifteen dollars, out of the treasury of the
state upon a warrant of the auditor of public accounts on and after
April first, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be enforced from its passage.
