Chap. 1293.—An ACT for the relief of Robert C. St. John, a disabled Confed-
erate soldier.

Whereas Robert C. Saint John was a brave and loyal Confederate
soldier in the service of the state of Virginia, and did contract in
said service measles, which resulted in chronic bronchitis, which, to-
gether with old age rendered him totally unable to earn a living by
manual labor, and is in such destitute condition as to require aid from
the state; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That on proof
of the alleged facts, the county court of Charlotte shall certify the same
to the auditor of public accounts, who shall enroll him as entitled to a
pension of fifteen dollars per annum, from April first, nineteen hundred
