Chap. 1282.—An ACT for the relief of Alexander Goolsby, a wounded Confed-
erate soldier.

Whereas Alexander Goolsby was a Confederate soldier, and a member
of Lee battery of field artillery; and
Whereas he was wounded at the battle of Cross Keys, in Valley of
Virginia; and
Whereas he has been true and loyal to the state, and is now old, poor,
and suffering; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proofs before the corporation court of Tynchburg of the foregoing
facts, and the certification thereof by the judge to the auditor of public
accounts, that the auditor is authorized and directed to place the name
of Alexander Goolsby upon the pension rolls of this state, and to pay
to ae annually the sum of fifteen dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from and after April first, nineteen
hundred.
