Chap. 1281.—An ACT for the relief of F. A. W. Green, a Confederate soldier,
of Lunenburg county.

Whereas F. A. W. Green, of Lunenburg county, member of company
H, fifty-ninth Virginia regiment, served three years and seven months
in the Confederate army, and furnished seven sons to that army; was
true aud loyal to Virginia, and is now eighty-eight years old, very poor,
without property, and dependent upoon the charity of others for a sup-
port; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when the
judge of the county court of Lunenburg county certifies to the auditor
of public accounts that the statements made in the preamble to this
act are true, then the said auditor is hereby directed to place the
name of the said F. A. W. Green on the pension list with those re-
ceiving fifteen dollars a year, and pav him annually that amount.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
