Chap. 1263.—An ACT for the relief of Vincen Kelly, an old Confederai
soldier.

Whereas Vincen Welly, of Lee county, Virginia, who entered the
Confederate service at the beginning of the late war between the state
and served as a true and faithful soldier until the close of said war
and has since proved himself true and faithful to the interest of thi
state of Virginia; and
Whereas said Vincen Kelly has become so old and infirm that he
cannot perform manual labor to sustain himself, and has no mean:
of support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when saic
Kelly appears before the county court of Lee county, Virginia, anc
makes satisfactory proof to the foregoing to be true, then the clerk ot
said county shall furnish the auditor of the state of Vi irgima with 4
certificate to that effect. and his name,shall be placed on “the pension
roll of Confederate soldiers for pension at the rate of fifteen dollars pet
annum, on and after the first dav of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
