Chap. 1255.—An ACT for the relief of Thomas B. Monroe, an ex-Confederate
soldier.

Whereas Thomas B. Monroe, an ex-Confederate soldier, of Bedford
county, while serving in company F, twenty-eighth Virginia regiment,
was wounded in the thigh, which disables him from making a living by
manual labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when the
judge of the county court certifies to the auditor of public accounts
that the statements contained in the preamble of this act are true, then
the said auditor is hereby directed to place the name of said Thomas
B. Monroe on the pension st with those receiving fifteen dollars per
year and pay him annually that amount.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
