Chap. 1254.—An ACT for the relief of C. T. Furrow, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas C. T. Furrow was a Confederate soldier of company , fifty-
fourth regiment of Virginia infantry. was a gallant soldier during the
war, and was wounded in the battle of Stony hill, near Atlanta, Georgia,
by reason of which he is incapacitated from manual labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Montgomery “shall examine into the condition of the
said C. T. Furrow, and if it is made to appear that he was true and
loval to Virginia through the war; that he is poor and should receive
aid from Virginia; that his wound prevents him from labor; if the
county court of Montgomery shall certify these facts to the auditor of
publie accounts, then the said auditor is directed to place the name of
the said C. Furrow on the pension list and pay him annually the
sum of fitieen dollars on and after the first day of April, nineteen
hundred.
2. This act shall be in foree from its passage.
