Chap. 1221.—An ACT for the relief of J. M. Synan, a wounded Confederate
’ soldier, by increase of pension.

Whereas J. M. Svnan, a wounded Confederate soldier, was heretofore
placed upon the pension rolls at fifteen dollars per year because of partial
disability, occasioned by wounds received in the service of the Confed-
crate states, it having been shown that he was entitled to such relief at
the time; and
Whereas the said J. M. Synan has become totally disabled and in-
capacitated from making a living, is quite old and is without means of
support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon the
establishment of these facts before the county court of Orange county,
and a certificate from said county court of Orange county to that effect
to the auditor of public accounts, the said auditor is hereby directed to
pay to the said J. M. Synan the sum of fifteen dollars annually, from
and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
