Chap. 122.—An ACT to allow A. S. Mitchell and A. Somers to build a pier
in Rappahannock river, near Whealton wharf, in Lancaster county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That A. S.
Mitchell and A. Somers be, and are hereby, authorized to erect a pier
in the Rappahannock river, near Whealton wharf, on Piney island, be-
tween Mud and Deep creeks, on their ovster planting grounds, for the
protection of their planted oysters: provided, the same will not interfere
with navigation in said river, and he subject to all the laws of the state
governing wharves and piers erected in the waters of the commonwealth:
and provided further, that this privilege granted shall at all times be
under the control of the general assembly, and amended or repealed as
mav he deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
