Chap. 120.—An ACT to allow Coulbourn brothers to build a pier in Rappa-
hannock river, near Whealton wharf, in Lancaster county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Coulbourn
brothers be, and are hereby, authorized to erect a pier in the Rappa-
hannock river, near Whealton wharf, on Pinev island, between Mud
and Deep creeks, on their ovster planting grounds, for the protection of
their planted ovsters: provided, the same will not interfere with navi-
gation in said river, and he subject to all the laws of the state governing
wharves and piers erected in the waters of the commonwealth: and pro-
vided further, that this privilege granted shall at all times be under
the control of the general assembly, and amended or repealed as may be
deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
