Chap. 1199.—An ACT for the relief of John C. Martin, a disabled Confed-
, erate soldier.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That J. C.
Martin, of Appomattox county, shall on account of injuries received
while in the discharge of his duty as a Confederate soldier, and upon
proof of these facts before the county court of Appomattox and the
certificate of the judge of these facts, as proven, to the auditor, then
the auditor be directed to place on the pension list of the state of Vir-
ginia the name of J. C. Martin, and the auditor of public accounts he
directed to pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars out of any money
in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
