Chap. 1191.—An ACT for the relief of Benjamin F. Creel, a disabled Confed-
erate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Benjamin F. Creel, a disabled Confederate soldier of Culpeper
county, was a true and gallant soldier during the late war, was loyal to
Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disabilities—to wit:
Constitution broken down from the effects of being vaccinated hy
military order during the war, and is now afflicted with shrinking of all
the museles of the left arm; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of Culpeper county shall examine into the condition of the above-
named Benjamin F. Creel. a Confederate soldier; and should it be that
he was true and Joval to Virginia during the war; and that he is now
aticted and incapacitated for manual labor; that he is needy and poor,
and should receive aid from Virginia: and if the county court of Culpeper
county shonld send a certificate of the facts to the auditor of public
accounts of Virginia, then the auditor of public accounts is direeted
to place the name of Benjamin I’. Creel on the pension list, and pay him
annually the sum of fifteen dollars on and after the first day of April,
nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
