Chap. 1187.—An ACT for the relief of Asa H. Graham, a disabled Confederate
soldier, of Montgomery county.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Asa Hf. Graham, a private Confederate soldier of com-
pany A, of forty-fifth regiment of Virginia volunteers, was a true and
faithful soldier during the war, was loval to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disability—to wit:
Infirmitive of old age, disability of rheumatism and exposure during
the war, from all of which causes he is totally disabled from manual
labor to support himself—
1, Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
hustings court for the citv of Radford shall examine into the condition
of the above-named Asa IT. Graham, a Confederate soldier, and should
it be that he was true and loyal to Virginia through the war, and that
he is now afflicted and is totally unfitted and incapacitated for manual
labor; that he is needy and poor, and should receive aid from Virginia;
and that the hustings court for the city of Radford should send a ver
tificate of the facts to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, then
the auditor of public accounts is directed to place the name of the
said Asa H. Graham on the pension list, and pay him annually the
sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the first day of April, nineteen
hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passaye.
