Chap. 1172.—An ACT for the relief of Henry Bush, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas Henry Bush, a Confederate soldier of the fifty-fourth Vir-
ginia regiment, was a true and loyal soldier during the war, was loyal
to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suff ring from a gunshot wound in his right
hand, was wounded at Marietta, Georgia, that he is poor and in needy
circumstances; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county court of Botetourt county shall examine into the condition of
the above-named Henry Bush, and upon proof of the facts as above
stated, that he shall receive aid from Virginia, and should the county
court of Botetourt send a certilicate of the facts to the auditor of public
accounts of Virginia, that the auditor of public accounts is directed to
place the name of Henry Bush upon the pension list, and pay him
annually the sum of fifteen dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passaze.
