Chap. 1169.—An ACT for the relief of James Mahorney, a wounded Confed-
erate soldier, of Rappahannock county, Virginia.

Whereas James Mahorney, a wounded Confederate soldier, was here-
tofore placed upon the pension list at fifteen dollars per year because of
partial disability occasioned by wounds received in the service of the
Confederate states, it being shown that he was entitled to such relief
under the law at the time; and
Whereas the said James Mahorney has become totally disabled and
incapacitated from making a living, and is without means of support;
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon the
establishment of these facts to the county court of Rappahannock county,
and a certificate from said court to that effect to the auditor of public
accounts, the said auditor is hereby directed to pay to the said James
Mahorney fifteen dollars per year from the first day of April, nineteen
hundred, out of the funds appropriated for the relief of disabled Con-
federate soldiers.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
