Chap. 1129.—An Act for the relief of James E. Pollard, a disabled Confederate
soldier.

Whereas James FE. Pollard was a Confederate soldier during the war
between the states, was faithful and brave in the discharge of his duties,
was true and loyal to Virginia, and received a wound which now partially
disables him; and
Whereas he is poor and needy, and deserves help from Virginia;
therefore, ,
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virgima, That if the
said James KE. Pollard shall establish the above facts before the hustings
court of Petersburg, and said court shall certify the same, with the
company and regiment to which he belonged, to the auditor of public
accounts, said auditor shall place the name of James EK. Pollard upon
the pension list and commencing on the first day of April, nineteen
hundred, pay him annually the sum of thirty dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
