Chap. 1124.—An ACT for the relief of Mason Priest, a Confederate soldier, of
Rappahannock county.

Whereas Mason Priest, a wounded Confederate soldier, was hereto-
fore placed upon the pension list at fifteen dollars per year because of
partial disability, occasioned by wounds received in the service of the
Confederate states, it being shown that he was entitled to such relief
under the law at the time; and
Whereas the said Mason Priest has become totally disabled and in-
capacitated from making a living, and is without means of support;
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
the establishment of these facts to the county court of Rappahannock
county, and a certificate from said court to that effect to the auditor
of public accounts, the said auditor is hereby directed to pay to the said
Mason Priest thirty dollars per year from the first day of April, nine-
teen hundred, out of the funds appropriated for the relief of Confed-
erate soldiers.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
