Chap. 1118.—An ACT for the relief of Branch O. Leath, a disabled Confederat
soldier.

Whereas Branch 0. Leath, a member of company C, eighteent]
Virginia regiment, Garnett’s brigade, Pickett’s division, Confederat:
states army, was a brave Confederate soldier, and through the war tru
and loyal to Virginia; and
Whereas he was wounded at Gettysburg, was a prisoner at Point Look
out for twenty-two months, and was one of four survivors of seventec:
nen of his company carried to that prison; and
Whereas he is now without any means of support and unable to work
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That. if the saic
Branch 0. Leath shall establish the above facts before the county court
of Nottoway county, and said court shall certify the same to the auditor
of publie accounts, said auditor shall plice the name of Branch O. Leath
on the pension list, and, commencing on the first of April, nineteen hun-
dred, pay hin annually the sum of sixty dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
