Chap. 1117.—An ACT for the relief of John W. Hicks, a disabled Confederate
soldier.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor
public accounts shall place John W. Hicks on the pension list, as
ititled to receive a pension of fifteen dollars a vear on account of being
ndered helpless and unable to support himself from disease and dis-
jlitv contracted in the military service of the Confederate states during
e civil war. But before the above John W. Hicks shall be entitled
be so listed, he shall establish the above facts by adequate proof before
e county court of the county of James City and city of W illiamsburg,
d file the same with the said auditor of public accounts.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
