Chap. 1104.—An ACT for the relief of J. N. Luck, a Confederate soldier.

Whereas J. N. Luck was a Confederate soldier in company C, forty-
fourth Virginia regiment of infantry, and while in the discharge of his
duty was wounded in the battle of Fort Steadman, on or about March
twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and sixty-five; and
Whereas, in the inerease of vears, the effect of said wound is such
as nearly wholly ineapacitates him for manual labor, and he is, in
consequence, dependent to a great extent upon charity; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the said
JON. Luck shall be paid the sum of fifteen dollars, when the facts as
herein set forth shall he proved before the county court of Chesterfield
and certified to the auditor of pubhe accounts by said court.
This act shall be in force from its passage.
