Chap. 1102.—An ACT for the relief of Malinda Wright, widow of a Confed-
erate soldier.

Whereas James A. Wright was a Confederate soldier in the thirtieth
battalion of Virginia, known as Clark’s battalion, in which service he
was wounded and incapacitated from earning a living at manual labor,
and has since died from the effects of injuries received in said service,
leaving Malinda Wright, a resident of Craig county, Virginia, his
widow, in destitute circumstances, and she is wholly without income of
any sort and in sore need—
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor
of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to place upon the
pension list, upon the proof of these alleged facts before the county
court of Craig county, the name of the said Malinda Wright, and to pav
to her the sum of thirty dollars annually out of any moneys in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
