Chap. 1092.—An ACT for the relief of James E. Bullock, a Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas James EK. Bullock, a disabled soldier of Virginia, was a brave
and faithful soldier, and loval to Virgimia: and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disabilities—to wit:
Constitution broken down from. services in the war, paralyzed, and
tetally unable to perform manual labor, and im destitute circumstances;
and
Whereas he does not wish to become an inmate of the soldiers’ home;
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of Caroline county shall examine into the condition of the above-
named James KE. Bullock, and should it be that he was true and loyal
to Virginia throughout the war, and that le is now afflicted and imeapaci-
tated for manual Jabor:; and that his constitution was broken down
from service in the war, and that he is in destitute circumstances, and
should, in the opinion of the judge of the county court of Caroline
county, receive aid from Virginia, then said county court of Caroline
county is hereby directed to forward a certificate of the foregoing facts
to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, who is hereby directed to
place said James EK. Bullock on the pension list upon the basis of total
disability, and that the said James E. Bullock shall annually draw his
pension upon this basis.
