Chap. 1090.—An ACT for the relief of Daniel Ramey, a Confederate soldier,
of Wise county.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas Daniel Ramey, of Wise county, a disabled Confederate soldier,
of Virginia, was a true and gallant soldier during the late war, was loval
to Virginia. and is now suffering from disabilit tv by reason ‘of disease
contracted by exposure while in the service of the Confederate army.
and on account of disease and old age, which together have rendered
him ineapable of supporting himself by labor; therefore,
1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That the county
court of Wise eounty shall examine into the eondition of the above
named Daniel Ramey, a Confederate soldier, and should it be that he
was true and Joyal to Virginia through the war, and that he is needy
and poor, and that he is now afflicted and so disabled and imeapacitated
for manual labor that he should reeeive aid from Virginia, and if the
county court of Wise county should send a certificate of these facts te
the auditor of pubhe accounts of Virginia, then the auditor of public
accounts is directed to place the name of the sad Damel Ramey on the
pension dist and pav him annually the sum of fifteen dollars, on ane
after the first day of Aprils nineteen hundred,
