Chap. 1063.—An ACT to provide payment out of the public treasury ta
Stafford county of the amount of criminal expenses erroneously paid by
said county.

Whereas Stafford county, through an erroneous construction of laws
relating to the pavment of jurors in criminal cases, for manv vears
past has heen charged with, and has paid out of her treasury. an agere-
vate of money which should have been charged to, and paid by. the
state of Virginia, which, for the vears between eighteen bundred and
-venty-three and eighteen hundred and cizhty-eight, amounts to fou.
undred ($475.25) and seventy-five dollars and twenty-five cents, with
ut interest; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That th
uditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, authorized and directec
» draw his warrant, pavable out of any funds in the treasury not other
ise appropriated, for the sum of four hundred ($475.25) and seventy
ve dollars and twenty-five cents, payable to the board of supervisor
f Stafford county, Virginia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
