Chap. 1054.—An ACT for the relief of W. L. Savage, of Henrico county, a
Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas W. L. Savage, of Henrico county, was a true and loyal
Confederate soldier, and was wounded twice in the civil war, that he
is more than seventy years old, poor and infirm, he has been for several
vears in destitute circumstances, and without the relief herein provided
it is more than probable the said W. L. Savage would have to become
an inmate of the county poor-house; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Henrico county,
and the certificate of the same to the auditor of public accounts, the
said auditor shall place the name of the said W. L. Savage upon the
pension list of the state and pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars
on and after the first day of April, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
